Bus Stop Films has partnered with Screen Canberra to deliver our Accessible Film Studies Program for people living with disability in Canberra in 2020.
Our classes teach older teens and adults with an intellectual disability, film studies through a curriculum that supports transformational outcomes aimed at improving English, social and work ready skills. We also aim to increase our student’s confidence and well-being through the program. The classes are a fantastic option for senior high school students or recent school leavers. If you love film and filmmaking this course is for you!
Mentored by passionate filmmakers and industry professionals, our students create amazing films of the highest artistic quality as part of the program. Bus Stops` films have won multiple awards and screened in festivals all over the world.
Bus Stop Films believe that filmmaking should be open to everyone and that the industry is richer when diversity is included and seen.
Course fees to attend our program can be funded through your NDIS funding, you will need to ensure funding is available under Capacity Building or Core Funding.
Starting in 2020, the weekly 3-hour classes will run for 40 weeks across four terms between February to December.
